'All suffering is soon to end'Christain leaflet?

I got a leaflet through the door, and being a christian i thought i may as well read it ( i'm not a strong christian kind of thing, but i believe in God ) and it said that all suffering was soon to end because God wouldn't allow it for any longer ?! I was quite confused to be honest because i thought we were responsible for our own suffering in a way ( as in warfare etc.) so it was up to us to sort it out not God....am i wrong?
