In Seventeen they have a calender full of items. On a certain day there is an item that you can win by going to the website and entering the code. The code only appears in the magazine, so people who don't have the magazine, who have lost it, thrown it away, etc. always ask so that they can still enter for their chance. Hope this helps! =)
