My Dr turned my baby yesterday from heads up to heads down! My question is has anyone else had this done and if so what was your biggest "problem" with it. Today I am just really tired and I am having a real hard time sitting with my hips under my body. I have to sit slouched which also starts to make my back hurt. How should a highly sensitive person deal with insults or with people being rude?

Everytime someone hurts me emotionally I just want to bring out my fist and hurt them because I feel I can't defend myself emotionally but I can substitue sadness for anger. I grew up being the "nice boy" and so people never insulted me in front of my face (but people did talk about me behind my back) so I never grew up with the experience to be tough. I'm nice to people but I know that sometime in my life there will be jerks who bother me for no reason and I don't like getting angry or violent but I just don't know how to deal with people's rudeness or insults. I am usually very self conscious about things and I am very empathetic about others, I've had trouble making friends in the past because I have major trust issues and I felt that people would hurt me. Is my horse having a reaction to a sedative?

I wouldn't be overly worried since he may have pulled a muscle during the procedure, or one of the shots may have affected a nerve in his neck and be bothering him. Some horses react differently to the medication and don't excrete it as rapidly, but it wouldn't usually still be affecting him today. I think it is good to have a talk with the vet just to be sure, but if the horse is eating well I doubt it is anything to worry about. Just watch his water intake to be sure it resumes normally. Also, if any signs of colic develop, which is always something to watch for when a horse acts differently from his norm, and especially if he isn't drinking fluids, be sure to remove his feed and call the vet right away.

The gates will be bolted and the sheriff will not allow access any longer. I would suggest that he get what he wants out of there asap. In some places the sheriff will actually place the renters personal property on the curb. The notice he received is the eviction process. If he doesn't leave, the sheriff may phyically remove him and his personal property, and anything that is attached to the walls, etc will remain the property of the landlord.

My dad and mom were always given old books from my uncle who is an elder, and I read those up. Man some were odd, and definitely promising a date for the end. A certain book with Babylon in the title was most intriguing. I liked the God's Word book though. It was cool and didn't teach that kind of stuff. The Greatest Man book is pretty decent too. Plus, I had access to a library I shouldn't have been allowed access to prolly. Well, anyway, the REALLY OLD books (1930s onward) promised certain dates sometimes. My dad is one of the people who is on the fence about it all and has disociated. But my uncle, and quite a few other family members, have stayed "in the truth" since 1950s onward.

My in-laws are too much into religion and worship. All they watch on TV is sanskar channel. I think this is a big reason that they are completely disconnected with our generation. When my father-in-law visits us I find it very awkward watching any light entertainment stuff in front of him.The result is I get terribly bored in his company. They never watch any new movies or anything entertaining on TV. Problem with tiredness and stupidity?

Why do people receive such harsh answers when posting anything supernatural?

Lets say we're talking about God you get the standard "mythes and fair tales" or my favorite "there is no God dammit." When people talk about ghosts which are well doented there's little doubt ghosts do exist in some form. You get people posting "stop huffing paint" or this one I thought was super harsh "No such thing, grow up seriously." Even if you don't believe in whatever the subject may be. Can't you just respect the context and not be a jerk? Most people posting supernatural problems are level headed using good grammar, clearly not on drugs or messed up in any way. They are scared and reaching out for help but instead some answerers choose to mock them when they're already suffering. Why? Do you feel it's acceptable? Do you even notice this? What's your thoughts?

I'm 30 years old with a 13 year old daughter. My boyfriend and I have been together for 5 years. I have always had a problem with trust due to prior relationships. I always questioned him and went through his e-mails and phone. I never found anything until about three years into the relationship. Is the weather in south miami beach always this hot and humid during the summer months?

At nighttime me and my friend went to South Beach last summer (July 21), it was 90 degrees, 90% humidity and to top that off there was no wind "breeze". Air was still and it felt like I was in a sauna! I was staying in Fort Lauderdale where it was nice, temperature was not hot, not cool, with nice breeze and NO high humidity. What are your thoughts on failure to thrive? ?

My 17-month-old son weighs 18.6 pounds and is on a special high fat diet. The nutritionist and doctors (I had to take him to a Children's Hospital 2 1/2 hours away) said to give him high calorie foods like er, ice cream, mayo, etc. to get him to "catch up" to a normal weight. I'm not sure I agree with this. He's had tests run on him, all normal, and a few more at the hospital which we'll find out the results on any time. If he's healthy, I would rather feed him well rather than set him up for a junk food diet for the rest of his life. It seems like he would be healthier at a smaller weight but with a healthier diet. Should I give him whole milk and er just to make him weigh the same as other kids?

Why the pediatric dentist office won't allow me to go back with my child?

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a dentist that didn't allow parents to go back with their child for 'privacy' reasons.They said it was their policy because they have everyones charts open and don't want to take the risk of being sued because their chart was read by an outside party.I took her here because one of my customers at work suggested it.The first time we went, it was very scary for her and she begged me to go back with her. You do have a shot at Davis because your SAT is high and have good EC's. Your GPA is a little low, but not too bad. You're right, CRD is not a very competitive program at Davis. You could try applying to other UC's as well, it wouldn't hurt to try. My friend got a 2.2 GPA but got a 1480/1600 on his SAT and had a plethora of musical accomplishments and UCLA accepted him. Anything can happen so don't be afraid to try. Berkeley may be a long shot though, but good luck!

What type of doctor do i see when i have abnormal bloodwork?

I have an abnormal albumin protein in my bloodwork and since my OB/GYN is not a general doc she doesn't know why that is but says it's serious and needs to be looked at. KX 125 engine blow out?

I was riding my Kx125 the other day on a straight away and i got my bike into 6th gear almost wide open. i was only in sixth hear for about 5 seconds and then my bike started slowing as if i slammed in my brakes. When my bike was stopped i was able to walk my bike easily in first gear. Is this because i blew out the piston and piston rings because when i moved my kick start with my hand it felt like there was no compression in the cylinder. Also when i took out the spark plug the ground strap was blown off and so was the tip of the electrode. Did my engine blow up because of the spark plug or because of the piston and piston rings?

Brining and smoking a turkey for Thanksgiving question?

Planning on smoking a 12 lb. turkey for thanksgiving. I did a test run earlier this month with a smaller bird to get a feel for it. That bird was already in a salt stock so i didnt brine it. My brine for the big turkey will include water, apple cider vinegar, coke, brown sugar, rosemary, sage, and of course sea salt. Food poisoning?

Yesterday I started throwing up at 2am and continued until about 2am the next day. I probably threw up about 25 times and I had diarrhea. My body always reacts really violently when I get this type of (what I'm guessing) is food poisoning, and I'll continue to throw up even though all I'm throwing up is bile and stomach acid. Usually the vomiting lasts between 8-14 hours. I'm just trying to figure out what type of food poisoning this is -- that day before I had thrown up, I ate nothing except a couple power bar type bars, and some pieces of cubed cheese I got from the deli section at the grocery store. The day prior to throwing up, I had eaten a bunch of different things because I was at a house party, so I really can't pinpoint what could have made me sick. I don't eat any meat, so I know it doesn't have anything to do with undercooked meat. Anyone have an idea of what type of food poisoning this is?

I pre-ordered the 3-disc from Target.com, and the first disc in my case was the Twilight film. The DVD also came with a free iTunes download of the movie... if you have two Bonus Features discs and one Special Features disc, they probably made a mistake. I would exchange it. Macintosh electronic products have been the "it" thing to have every since they first came out with the iPod way back when. Solely based on function, the iPod is no different than any other mp3 player on the market. They are all made to serve the same purpose, the iPod just comes in a pretty shiny case and is very user friendly. The price tag is ridiculous though. I have a friend that still has the 1st generation iPod and it still works fine, but this is a rare case. I can't tell you how many times I've seen broken Mac electronics owned by my friends. Despite a high price, they are very fragile. Case in point, my friend dropped his iPod touch on a carpeted floor and the screen cracked! I'll never ever buy a product from Mac. I am a single mother of a toddler just curious as to know how other mothers make their dollars stretch. Some of the things I do to cut down expenses is I buy my son's diapers by the case-40bucks-Wholesale club, and it last a whole month. Wipes too. I also will suggest family members to buy him the clothes that he needs around christmas when they ask what to get him. I get his DVD movies at Walmart on the $5 shelf, or rent them from the library, kids movies are free. Toys I rent from Parents As Teachers resource center, he can keep the toys for 2 weeks, then trade them in for something else. He has toys at home, but most of them he doesn't even play with. I buy his clothes out of season, or receive hand-me-downs, and I do hit up the thrift store from time to time to get him some nice name brand stuff for under a $1. Food, we eat at home. I will spend money on a good pair of NIkes or jordan and a nice haircut, but everything else I try to budget. What do you do to cut on expenses? HOw do you economize with your kids?

I am not superstitious. But I have had a really freaky experience. When I was 18 my parents had promised myself and my sisters a trip anywhere in the world when we graduated from high school. I chose New Zealand. I had never been there and knew absolutely NOTHING about the country. However, when I arrived in Auckland I knew the city inside and out. I knew where stores and shops were without ever seeing them. I could tell friends what was around the next corner even though I had never been down the street before. I have to say it scared the living KAKA out of me. I don't really believe in psychic ability or past life experiences. But NOW I DO!!! I believe I had lived in Auckland in a past life. Cosleeping question-- personal experience please!?

Co-sleeping with a Toddler/Pre-schooler and a baby is more dangerous. You are aware of your babies presence but your older child has a higher likelihood of rolling over on the baby and possibly smothering them. I co-slept with both of my kids but my daughter moved to her own bed at 18 months and my son at the age of 2. It would not be cruel to move your daughter to another bed before the new baby's arrival. Don't make the transition about the baby, it should be about her being a big girl and ready for her own bed. To help our transition each time the kids got to pick out their bedding and my daughter got a new doll to sleep with and my son a lamp that has fish on it and lights up the room at night like he is undersea. It helped them to be excited about the move instead of upset.
